Residents of the small village tucked away in the mountains have long heard tales of a gigantic skeleton. According to local legend, there once lived a giant who terrorized the locals and caused mayhem wherever he went.
Long before a team of archaeologists arrived in the area, the locals had long dismissed the story as fiction.

The specialists had been sent to the region to look into a few of the ancient rock formations that dot the landscape. As they moved across the rugged landscape, they came across a startling sight: a set of footprints embedded in a large boulder. The large impressions were several millimeters deep and roughly a meter long.
As they further examined the granite, the researchers discovered a peculiarity in the shape of the traces. They have never seen human footsteps like these before. Instead, they had the appearance of the imprints of a large animal, complete with five toes and a long, curved arch.

The archaeologists followed the footprint trail deeper into the highlands as they resumed their quest after their exciting discovery. After several hours of trekking, they came upon a huge cave hidden deep among the rocky outcroppings. They were shocked to discover a large skeleton on the cave floor that was roughly 10 meters long when they entered.
The skeleton was unlike anything they had ever seen. It had huge bones and a head that was nearly double the size of a human’s. Its enormous, curled claws were a sign that it had formerly been a vicious predator, able to take out even the biggest prey. Despite its size and strength, the monster was obviously long dead, as evidenced by the whiteness of its bones due to years of exposure to the elements.

When they further examined the skeleton, the archaeologists came to the conclusion that it was the cause of the strange footprints they had earlier noticed. The crew was directed to the monster’s last resting place by the footprint it left on the boulder as it passed by.
The discovery of the massive skeleton confirmed the village’s long-held beliefs. After all, the giant’s legend had come true, and the villagers were astounded by the size and power of the monster that had formerly prowled their land. Researchers now have an intriguing insight into a time when the world was inhabited by monsters of unimaginable size and power thanks to the discovery.
