Notwithstanding, most authorities on the matter would agree, a typical sort of cloud appears to routinely show up in the nature save of the zoo. A lenticular cloud has been described as having the appearance of “stacked pancakes.”

Cindy Palmer, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, stated last year that winds blowing over hills and mountains create lenticular clouds, which typically appear in the winter. This cloud was observed over the Bay Area.

Palmer explains, “Everyone has noticed that winter winds typically blow in one direction.” The air rises, the moisture condenses, and clouds form as the wind moves over the mountains.
