The EURO 2024 finals kicked off with a jubilant match when host Germany crushed Scotland 5-1 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Florian Wirtz, Kai Havertz, Emre Can, Niclas Fullkrug and Jamal Musiala scored for the Tanks. Scotland only had 1 goal, an own goal by midfielder Antonio Rudiger on the German side. In addition, Scotland had to play without a man from the 44th minute when Ryan Porteous received a red card for a terrible tackle on Ilkay Gundogan.
