Rick Ross Splashes $37 Million on Lavish Star Island Mansion
Rick Ross is making headlines with his extravagant purchase of a nine-bedroom mansion on Miami’s prestigious Star Island, shelling out upwards of $37 million. This elite neighborhood has been home to a slew of celebrities, including Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Shaquille O’Neal, and Gloria Estefan. The glitzy locale was further glamorized in 2020 when Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez bought a 10-bedroom estate there.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, the 47-year-old rapper, who shares roots with Flo Rida in the same Miami suburb, is now a proud resident of Star Island. Ross plans to pour millions more into a complete renovation of his new property. Spanning approximately 40,000 square feet, the mansion boasts luxurious amenities such as six bathrooms, a summer kitchen, a heated pool, and a private wooden dock with direct ocean access.
This ultra-luxurious waterfront estate promises an opulent lifestyle with features like an entertainment area perfect for hosting grand events. The deal, which began in May, is reportedly nearing its final stages, with the rapper from “Money In The Grave” set to close on the sale soon.
This isn’t Ross’s first foray into high-end real estate. Two years ago, he purchased NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire’s Miami home for $3.5 million. In a candid confession on the REVOLT program Assets Over Liabilities, Ross admitted, “I still haven’t slept in that b**** once,” yet he highlighted its increased value, speculating a potential $3 million profit if he decides to sell.
Adding to his impressive portfolio, Rick Ross also bought Meek Mill’s Atlanta property for $4.2 million a few months ago. His fascination with homes started early in his career, as he reminisced about frequently visiting Atlanta and dreaming of owning property there. “Homes were something I was always fascinated about,” he shared. “After I got my deal, I bought a million-dollar home just so I could ride by it every day while I’m in Atlanta.”
Ross’s real estate crown jewel is undoubtedly the 109-room mansion in Georgia, dubbed The Promise Land, which he purchased from boxing legend Evander Holyfield. This jaw-dropping estate stands as a testament to Ross’s success and his passion for luxurious living.
