The DP64 Classic RS Jubilee results from 50 years of DP Motorsport’s love of Porsches.
DP Motorsport is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a special build called the DP64 Classic RS Jubilee. Based on a 1992 Porsche 911 (964) that was initially finished in Polar Silver, the car now sports a vivid Light Yellow 117 livery with accenting in Conda Green 2626.
It’s technically a tribute to the Carrera 2.7 RS from a visual perspective, including a prominent ducktail spoiler that became popularized by that model. But instead of just modifying the 964 with elements from that era, the Classic RS Jubilee mixes bits and pieces from nearly five decades’ worth of Porsche models, including the 356 – the latter donating a black boucle carpet set.
More than just a visual project, the flat-six engine has been enhanced to 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, retaining its air-cooled nature. To achieve the improved figures, the motor had its displacement increased to 3.8 liters, after which it was equipped with Schrick camshafts, a BMC sports air filter, and a double-bench Cargraphic exhaust system. Bosch Motronic 2.1 electronically controlled sequential fuel injection also helps the pursuit of power.
The gearbox is a five-speed manual with a limited-slip differential and a short-throw shifter kit to mimic the Carrera RS of the 964 generation.
At each corner, Fuchs-style alloy wheels house light-alloy four-piston fixed calipers derived from the 993 Turbo, clamping down on ventilated steel discs.
Suspension-wise, the front is equipped with individual light metal wishbones and KW Clubsport struts, complemented by a stabilizer, Clubsport top mount kit, and transverse support between the front spring strut towers. At the rear, the suspension consists of individual light metal trailing arms and KW Clubsport struts, accompanied by a stabilizer and wheel spacers.
The combination of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP), enhanced with Kevlar and carbon, incorporates robust front fenders and rear side walls, widened by an inch on either side.
The RS interior door panels are meticulously crafted with Nappa leather and checkered fabrics, complemented by retro door handles. The center tunnel has a cupholder, USB charging socket, and center console panels boasting a sleek black piano lacquer finish.
The dashboard covers, steering wheel spokes, seat back shells, and Clubsport roll bar have been painted in a high-gloss black hue, while the lollipop-style seats are finished in Nappa leather and checkered fabric.
The customized dashboard incorporates a tachometer designed with a checkered pattern. Additionally, a discreetly installed, professional Dr. Boom hi-fi system with a Bluetooth receiver allows for smartphone control. The headliner, dashboard, door slot strips, parcel shelf, and steering wheel rim are all covered in Alcantara.
The DP64 Classic RS Jubilee is an exhaustive one-off that can rival classic Porsche 911 builders like Singer, but individual components are available separately from DP Motorsport through the DP64 retrofit package. Unfortunately, the tuning firm didn’t disclose its price nor if it’s for sale.
