A dedicated fan of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is capitalizing on his feud with Adidas by auctioning a signed album featuring the phrase “F*** ADIDAS.”
According to TMZ, the auction for Ye’s signed 2010 album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” is being managed by Moments in Time, with bids starting at over $500,000.
The album’s value is significantly boosted by a video showing Ye signing it. The event took place in February when Ye and Bianca Censori were leaving a hotel in Paris. They were greeted by fans chanting “F*** Adidas,” following Ye’s allegations that Adidas had misused his designs by releasing Yeezy sneakers without his consent. Energized by the crowd, Ye grabbed a fan’s vinyl album and marked it with the explicit phrase.
The fan, who had waited ten years to meet Ye and spent three hours that day hoping to see him, saw the video of the signing go viral. This led to numerous offers for the vinyl, revealing its significant value.
This incident occurred against the backdrop of Adidas cutting ties with Ye two years earlier over his antisemitic remarks, reinforcing their stance against hate speech.
