For the first time since tearing his ACL in January, Christian Watson is back on the practice field. The Packers wide receiver officially came off the PUP list on Monday, opening his 21-day window to be activated, and he’s wasting no time making his intentions clear. “I just want to stack days,” Watson said. “As long as I continue to feel good, my goal is to play as soon as possible.” It’s been nine months and one day since the injury, and Watson says he hasn’t taken a single day off since surgery. The fourth-year receiver looked explosive in individual drills, though he’s still easing into 11-on-11 reps. Teammates couldn’t hide their excitement. Rashan Gary, who knows the grind of ACL rehab firsthand, said: “Everybody’s going to have ups and downs. But you stay in the middle. Christian’s got faith, family, and work ethic, that’s everything.” It wasn’t just Watson returning, Zach Tom, Aaron Banks, and Nate Hobbs also practiced, signaling good news for Green Bay’s offense. Watson’s message was simple: “It’s been a long road. I’m just ready to play football again.” Nine months of work for one goal, to be back where he belongs. 🧀💪
