Miami Art Week hosts creative mashups encompassing art and technology, including this Range Rover one-of-seven project.
Miami Art Week is a spectacle in itself, attracting thousands of artists and collectors. Tourists travel from all over the world to south Florida to witness the fashion, parties, and VIPs, including household names like Tom Brady, Shakira, Will Smith, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The crown jewel for the automotive set is the Art Basel event. Located at the intersection of art and engineering, automotive companies often display bespoke projects at Art Basel to show off their creative prowess. Making the most of the event, Land Rover debuted its Range Rover Sport SV Edition One Miami on Friday, a one-of-seven vehicle created in collaboration with artist Daniel Wurtzel.
Dubbed “Force of Nature,” the unique Range Rover is finished in a custom blue paint to mimic the Atlantic Ocean’s azure hues. As a musical accompaniment, the British brand tapped London-based DJ Sooski for the soundtrack as the vehicle sits in the Chase Sapphire lounge at Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
The Range Rover Sport SV is the most powerful Rover the brand has ever made, equipped with a 626-hp twin-turbo V-8 mild hybrid. Eight-piston Brembo Octyma front calipers, 23-inch carbon fiber wheels, and a high-end dynamic suspension are a few of the goodies on this vehicle, which tops out at $200,000 plus.
Designed to be a full sensory experience, the display will feature coordinated light and sound, with matching blue flowing silks around the SUV representing the ocean waves on Miami Beach.
