Nazca Chauchilla Burial ground

Situated around 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Nazca, the Chauchilla Graveyard comprises of a few mud-block burial chambers where the Nazca were covered. In 1920 the burial ground was found and uncovered bodies painted with a gum to dial back bacterial disintegration. The dry environment additionally protected these bodies so much that they actually held their hair and some skin after hundreds of years.
