While the King’s horses are often known to be mischievous towards the tourists, this horse was surprisingly fond of a tourist.

Animals may not speak but they sure know how to express their feelings. They can express how they feel through various cues and behaviors. The King’s horses which often spook tourists of London by being cheeky with them are the best examples. However, unlike the shenanigans of these horses observed on social media, recently a heartwarming scene unfolded at The King’s Guard. This April, a popular TikTok page Experiencing London which often shared glimpses of London’s most famous tourist attractions, posted a video of a wholesome moment between a tourist and the King’s horse.

Many people who visit England’s capital city show interest in taking a picture with the King’s Guard and the horse and so did this particular tourist. They approached the horse with a bit of hesitation and gently laid their palm on its side while posing for a picture. At an unexpected moment, the horse bowed down facing the tourist as though it expected to be petted. The tourist, who was all smiles, paid heed to the horse’s gesture and caressed its head softly. Their interaction got more beautiful when the tourist made a head-to-head touch with the black equine for a brief moment. When the horse turned its head away from the tourist, they took the cue and moved away from the animal respecting its space.

This wholesome encounter was viewed over 13 million times and people were in awe at how unusually sweet the King’s horse was toward the tourist. “Animals are so intuitive. I would trust this woman with my life based on this 15-second clip,” said @chlo.stevens. “And notice how she immediately pulled back when the horse did! He read her energy and she read him,” chimed in @l0psided.apric0t. “Did you see how gently she approached and touched him? She’s a gentle gentle spirit. However, the King’s horses are not always so sweet to the tourists. There have been instances where the equines have bit or kicked the people who stand next to them. Experiencing London shared many such shenanigans by various horses at the King’s Guard and one particular video is a laugh riot. Posted last November, the video showed a King’s horse sneaking into a tourist’s pocket while they were busy posing for a picture.

The equine shrewdly took out a glove from the person’s pocket and began playing with it. Wobbling its head up and down, the horse refused to let go of the glove from its mouth and the tourist’s attempt to retrieve the glove went in vain. After a few seconds of playing with the glove, the horse simply dropped it on the ground and the tourist had to save the glove from the naughty equine’s hold again. Even the King’s Gaurd who are known to put on a stern expression all the time couldn’t help but let a faint smirk on seeing the horse’s mischief.
