If you’re in or around Monaco you might see F1 star Charles Leclerc driving his new custom supercar that he’s added to his exquisite car collection.
At $715,000, the latest model in his personal car collection is one of the most expensive available from the brand.
And as the 26-year-old Formula 1 driver is currently driving for Scuderia Ferrari, it’s no surprise the car comes from the luxury Italian auto manufacturer.
Leclerc already has an impressive Ferrari car collection thanks to his work alongside the Italian F1 team, including an SF90 Stradale, a 488 Pista Spider, a Roma, and an 812 Superfast.
Leclerc also owns the 2019 chassis that powered him to his first ever Grand Prix victory for Ferrari at the Belgian Grand Prix, the Ferrari SF90, per CarHP.com.
Now, the F1 driver has been spotted zipping around in his custom 812 Competizione Aperta.
After coming in second at the F1 2023 finale, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Leclerc seems to be making the most of his offseason.
While Lewis Hamilton is one famous F1 resident, eagle-eyed fans saw Charles Leclerc pull up at the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
They shared footage and photos on social media of him posing with fans and the car – not unlike Sam Altman letting a father and son admire his $20 million McLaren F1 several weeks ago.
Only 599 of the Prancing Horse’s top-line convertible 812 Competizione Aperta were made.
Leclerc’s team-mate at Ferrari, Carlos Sainz, has a less rare coupé model of the 812 Competizione, of which, 999 were made.
The convertible’s rarity and exquisite craftsmanship make it one of the most expensive Ferrari models on the market at $715,000.
That’s more than twice the price of an 812 Superfast – the 2020 design it’s based on.
But, of course, the F1 driver didn’t buy the supercar straight off the production line.
Charles Leclerc opted for ’16’ decals on the vehicle, in honor of his F1 racing number and finished in matte white.

But its beauty is more than skin deep.
Under its hood, the 812 Competizione Aperta has a 6.5-litre V12 engine packing 819bhp.
What’s more, it can rev up to 9,500rpm.
Branching out from Ferrari, it’s thought Charles Leclerc also owns a Land Rover Discovery, a Rolls Royce Wraith, a Bugatti Chiron, a Jaguar XF, and a McLaren GT.

While in the summer he revealed his dream job, reports have emerged that Leclerc has signed a five-year deal to stay with Ferrari.
Last year Charles Leclerc was paid $24 million by Ferrari.
Ferrari haven’t won a title in F1 since 2008, but it’s hoped Leclerc will lead the team to glory in 2024.
