A CITROEN 2CV made of wood, remembered to be the only one of its sort, has sold for 210,000 euros (S$303,615) at a sale in France – another record for the notable vehicle.
The vehicle, in full working request and enrolled in France, beat assumptions when it went under the sledge in the focal town of Visits on Sunday (Jun 4).
The 2CV, with a body hand-made out of wood yet showing similar renowned bends as the post-war French work of art, was gobbled up by a Paris-based gatherer who possesses a historical center of rare carnival attractions.
“I’m experiencing issues talking after this bet,” purchaser Jean-Paul Favand told AFP by phone subsequently.
The closeout house had given an aide cost of 150,000 euros to 200,000 euros.
Barker Aymeric Rouillac pronounced the deal a record as he cut down the sledge.
