In 2018, the world came to know Rommel through a powerful series of images that went viral on social media, thanks to Maria Kabs, who happened to spot Rommel and Badgi on the streets and felt compelled to share their story with her Facebook community. The most poignant of these images captured Rommel serenely asleep, his arms wrapped around his faithful dog, amidst the adversities of life.
